Ready to shoot?
Please note this information is for our club members and guests who are Archery GB members. If you would like to shoot at any club you will need to be affiliated to the relevant archery association and have completed a beginners course. Please see our beginners course section for information on requirements and our upcoming dates.
Thank You.
Our Club is currently located at the Grangefield Community Centre, the location and address of which can be found using the map below. At present we currently shoot two days a week, throughout the year.
These are:
Wednesday 5pm til 8pm
&
Saturday 10am til 3pm
Depending on the time of the year, we have access to both an indoor and outdoor range at our location. So no cancelled shoots in outdoor season due to our changeable weather!
A friendly club competition is held every third Saturday of the month to help archers monitor improvement and enter scores into the logical league.
If you are a member of Archery GB, please feel free to come along!
We only ask that you get in touch beforehand and bring your Archery GB membership card. There will also be a small shooting fee.
Available Facilities
Coaching Workshops
Whilst promoting a social and safe environment we also like to hold friendly competitions and supply coaching to help you hone your shooting skills. We currently have 8 level 1 and 1 level 2 Archery GB qualified coaches, all with the knowledge and experience to help you reach your potential. Our club coaching workshops cover a variety of topics such as; technique, equipment and the archer's mentality behind the shot process. Coaching can be provided in groups seminars or with more advanced 1-1 coaching. Coaching can be supplied to the majority of bow disciplines and shooting styles.
Outdoor Range
Our outdoor range can be found opposite the car park and is in use during the outdoor season of archery (Summer Months). It is accessed via the bottom end of the car park. Most archers prefer the outdoor season and range mainly due to the nice weather and longer distanced targets. Our outdoor range can accustom up to 80 yards of shooting.
Please note that due to this being a rented premises and a shared sports complex, for health and safety reasons, we do carry the rule that “No full carbon arrows are permitted to be shot on the outdoor range”.
Indoor Range
The indoor range can be found in the main hall of the building and is usually used during the indoor season (Winter Months). Though the indoor range is available all year round in case the weather is not in our favour. This hall allows us to shoot 20 yards and is big enough for 10 targets. Many archers find the indoor range ideal for tuning your equipment and working on your technique.
We also have the facilities to make tea and coffee!
